The Story behind the painting:
“Afterglow” began during Hurricane Harvey, inspired by the devastation along the Texas coast., including Corpus Christi and Port Aransas. What started as a reflection of uncertainty gradually evolved into something entirely different.
As our community rebuilt and the city came back to life, the painting transformed-capturing not substruction, but resilience. The final composition reflects the beauty of the bay at sunset, where color returns, deepens and reminds us that strength and beauty can coexist.
