Britt (Brittsy) Orzechowski
Artist Biography
Britt is a contemporary artist based in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Texas State University in 1990 (SWT back those days) with a major in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Art. She gravitated to sales and business management and spent the last 15 years running and managing medical clinics. Britt made the decision to follow her dream and pursue her art full time.
Her style is abstract and representational and each painting emphasizes the unique characteristics of her subject matter. She is a lover of all things beautiful and her inspiration comes from the beautiful world around us, the surf, organic botanicals, the innocence and expression of an animal, and sometimes just simply raw emotion.
Her paintings evoke feelings of happiness and serenity through her recognizable color palettes and subject matter. Her goal is to bring a smile to your face. Bold brights mixed with soft pastels that you see in the sky, oceans and plant life are her colors of choice.
She has a strong love for dogs and obvious bond to her studio pal Cabo, her white Labrador. Britt’s emotional connection to animals and nature is what drives her passion to communicate her expressions of beauty.
“I rediscovered my passion after moving to Padre Island, a small island off of Corpus Christi, Texas.” I began to paint again and decided to brand my work as Brittsy. Brittsy is what my family and close friends have called me since I was a baby. Now that our daughter is finishing college, I spend every spare minute in my studio and taking care of my four-legged, 12-year-old best friend. (oh, and my husband, just kidding) To me it’s not work, its pure joy! I am proud to say that I am a full-time artist and so very blessed to be able to share my creations with you..
